Flute Solo

O’ was written for Spencer Yeamans, a colleague of mine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Spencer’s interest in the Penny Whistle and his Irish heritage was the compositional inspiration for O’. The work is based on the Irish Lullaby “Dereen Day”. The title is derived from old Irish names such as O’Reilly, O’Sullivan, O’Rourke……….
